A child’s ability to learn, participate and grow is closely connected to having access to nutritious food. For some children and families in Maun, meeting this basic need can be challenging. Through its support for Lehikeng Capacity Building and Development Trust’s feeding programme, Small Village is helping us provide care, dignity and hope to children in our community.
Lehikeng’s feeding programme responds to one of the most immediate needs affecting children. A nutritious meal does more than satisfy hunger. It can help a child concentrate, participate in activities and enjoy the energy needed for healthy development.
The support we receive from Small Village helps us continue providing meals to children participating in our programmes. Their contribution strengthens our ability to create a welcoming environment in which children feel cared for and ready to learn.
